ResMed S9 vs AirSense 10 vs AirSense 11: Which Parts Fit?

ResMed S9, AirSense 10 and AirSense 11 CPAP machines are all common in Australia. Many people still use an S9 or AirSense 10, and need to know which tubing, power supplies, water tubs and masks fit. ResMed S9

The S9 series, including the S9 Elite and S9 AutoSet with H5i humidifier, was ResMed’s main CPAP range before the AirSense 10. Many S9 machines are still in use.

  • Power supply: the S9 uses a 90W 24V power supply. See the ResMed 369102 S9 power supply and the S9 DC adapter for 12V/24V use in cars, boats and caravans.
  • Humidifier: the S9 uses the H5i heated humidifier, which has its own water tub.
  • Tubing: standard 22 mm tubing, slimline tubing and ClimateLine heated tubing designed for the S9.

ResMed AirSense 10

The AirSense 10 AutoSet and AirSense 10 Elite have a built-in HumidAir humidifier and a slimmer design than the S9.

ResMed AirSense 11

The AirSense 11 AutoSet is ResMed’s newest platform, with a touchscreen, a redesigned humidifier tub and ClimateLineAir 11 heated tubing. AirSense 11 water tubs and heated tubing are different from the AirSense 10 versions. See our AirSense 11 water tank.

Which Parts Fit Which Machine?

  • Masks: most ResMed masks, such as the AirFit P10 nasal pillow mask, connect to any of these machines through standard tubing.
  • Standard and slimline tubing: non-heated slimline tubing fits all three, but the machine should be set to the matching tube type.
  • Heated tubing: heated tubes are specific to each generation (S9 ClimateLine, AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir, AirSense 11 ClimateLineAir 11).
  • Water tubs and power supplies: specific to each generation. Always check the model on the product page.
  • Filters: see our ResMed CPAP filters and replace them regularly.
  • Battery backup: the GP25 160Wh CPAP battery is made for the S9, AirSense 10 and AirSense 11.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use AirSense 10 tubing on an S9?

Standard non-heated tubing works on both. Heated tubing is specific to each model.

Is the S9 still worth using?

Many S9 machines work well for years. As parts age, replacing the power supply, tubing, filters and humidifier tub can keep it running. Talk to your sleep physician if you are unsure whether to upgrade.

Do you deliver CPAP parts across Australia?

Yes. We deliver Australia-wide. All prices include GST.
