The JOANLAB HS-Max is a digital heating magnetic stirrer that heats and mixes laboratory liquids at the same time on a ceramic-coated aluminium alloy hot plate. It heats from room temperature up to 310°C, stirs from 50 to 1500rpm, and is available in four models covering 2L, 5L and 10L maximum mixing capacity. A PT1000 external temperature probe, 9-program memory, 1min–12h timer and one-key lock make it a constant temperature laboratory stirring plate suited to repeatable, unattended work.
Why Choose This Laboratory Hot Plate Magnetic Stirrer
- Precise constant temperature control: Liquid temperature accuracy of ±1°C with the PT1000 probe, and ±3°C on the panel sensor.
- Repeatable results: Store up to 9 groups (P1–P9) of time and speed settings and recall them with the P key.
- Safer experiments: One-key lock prevents accidental changes, and a residual heat warning shows when the plate is still hot.
- Chemical-resistant work surface: Aluminium alloy disc with ceramic coating resists corrosion and is easy to wipe clean.
- Four sizes, one control layout: Choose 2L, 5L or 10L capacity without retraining staff.
Key Features of the HS-Max Electromagnetic Mixer
Two Ways of Thermometry
A built-in panel sensor and an external liquid probe control plate temperature and liquid temperature independently. With the probe connected, the display shows real-time liquid temperature; with the probe removed, it shows the plate surface temperature. Units switch between °C and °F.
Program Memory and Countdown Timer
Nine programmable sets hold processing time and speed. The timer runs from 1 minute to 12 hours, with two countdown modes: start counting when the set temperature is reached, or start as soon as the unit runs. Fast and slow heating-rate and speed-ramp modes are selectable.
Digital Display With Knob and Button Control
The display shows set and real-time temperature, set and real-time speed, time, heating sign, lock flag and probe connection mark together. Two knobs control temperature and speed; touch-illuminated keys handle program, lock and timing.
Three-Hole Probe Clamp and Support Stand
The movable cross clamp and three-hole probe holder accept the temperature probe plus a pH meter or other sensor at the same time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum temperature of the JOANLAB HS-Max heating magnetic stirrer?
The working disc heats from room temperature up to 310°C on all four models.
What is the difference between HS-5Max, HS-6Max, HS-8Max and HS-10Max?
They differ in plate size, capacity and power: HS-5Max is Φ135mm round, 2L, 300W; HS-6Max is 135×135mm, 2L, 300W; HS-8Max is 160×160mm, 5L, 500W; HS-10Max is 200×200mm, 10L, 800W with a 50–1200rpm speed range.
How accurate is the temperature control?
Liquid temperature accuracy is ±1°C when the PT1000 probe is in the liquid. Panel (plate surface) accuracy is ±3°C.
Can the stirrer run unattended on a timer?
Yes. The timer is adjustable from 1 minute to 12 hours, and the countdown can start either when the set temperature is reached or immediately when the unit starts.
Can I save my stirring settings?
Yes. Up to 9 groups of time and speed settings can be stored as programs P1–P9 and recalled with the P key.
Does it show the temperature in Fahrenheit?
Yes. The display can be switched between °C and °F.
Is the hot plate surface resistant to chemicals?
The working disc is aluminium alloy with a ceramic coating, which resists chemical corrosion.
