It measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate from the adult earlobe. It is often used when finger readings are unreliable because of poor circulation, cold hands or nail coatings.

What is the difference between Oxismart and OxiMax sensors?

Oxismart (Non-OxiMax) is Nellcor’s earlier SpO2 sensor technology. OxiMax sensors use a different sensor interface. The two are not interchangeable, so match the sensor to the SpO2 technology of your monitor.

How long is the cable and what connector does it use?

The cable is 3.0 metres (9.8ft) long and ends in a 9-pin Non-OxiMax connector.

Is this sensor reusable?

Yes. It is a reusable sensor intended for multi-patient use with cleaning and disinfection between patients.

Is this ear clip sensor suitable for children?
