What is the Masimo 2257 SpO2 sensor?

The Masimo 2257 is a reusable pediatric finger-clip pulse oximetry sensor with a red DCIP-dc8 connector for Rainbow-enabled Masimo devices. This version has a 3.0 m cable and a hard shell clip.

Does this sensor read SpCO, SpMet or SpHb?

No. This sensor measures SpO2 (oxygen saturation) and pulse rate only. It does not provide SpCO, SpMet or other Rainbow co-oximetry parameters.

Which patients is this sensor designed for?

It is designed for pediatric patients whose fingers suit a pediatric-sized clip. For adults, choose an adult hard shell or soft tip sensor.

Can I use it on a Masimo Radical-7 or Rad-97?

Yes. It connects directly to the 20-pin Rainbow-style patient cable port on Radical-7, Rad-97, Rad-57, Rad-87, Rad-8 and Pronto devices.

Does it work with the Physio-Control LIFEPAK 15 and Zoll X Series?

Yes. It matches Physio-Control references 11996-000334 and 11996-000338 and plugs into LIFEPAK 15 and Zoll X Series Rainbow SpO2 ports.

Is the sensor reusable?
